Each week we will explore current political and social issues of interest to the students in an age-appropriate manner. Classroom time will feature roundtable discussions and debates. Using media reports and historical examples, students will consider the political and social forces driving a current event and how they compare to similar debates in the past. Students will develop skills in writing, research, media awareness and debate, as they gain an understanding of high-profile political topics supported by historical context.
