Introduction to Photography:
10:00-11:00 am
Together, we will explore the art of photography with a professional photographer. Cameras and lenses will join our investigation of types of photography and photoshop basics. Students will engage in the photographing with cameras and telephones, growing knowledge of lighting and details. The nature of running a small business while nurturing a passion will lead many of our conversations.
Environmental Studies:
11:15-12:15 pm
When Nature Marc from the Closter Nature Center visits Tutor's Link, we can promise a brilliant experience. Come explore climate concerns and environmental phenomena through observation and personal experiences.
Chess Masters:
12:30-1:30 pm
Using a large demonstration chessboard, students will better understand various topics including tactics, strategy, and the nuances of positional understanding. There will be ample time to play casual games with each other with focused assistance from the instructor. We will learn the basics and delve into more complex topics for all students who demonstrate interest and aptitude.
15 minute supervised breaks will follow the 10:00 am, 11:15 am and 12:30 pm classes, with time for children to play in the fenced-in backyard, eat snacks and socialize.
Lunch/Recess:
1:30-2:30 pm
Optional time to eat and chat with friends. We are happy to offer this time for FREE. An adult from each family must be present to ensure appropriate supervision.
