Early Math Make & Take Age/Skill: 1st - 2nd Grade
(6 week session) Wednesdays 12:15-1:15 pm
Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm
We will be making math games to take home to practice math skills in a fun way! The sessions will begin with a mini-lesson on a featured skill to ensure mastery. Then we will create our own take home version of a new game. Each day, students will go home with a new game and directions for play.

Join this uplifting class to choose kindness and make a difference in your life and in the lives of others.

Reading/Listening Between the Lines (Figurative Language/Idioms) Age/skill: 4th-5th grade

Sometimes the words we hear are not actually the words we understand. The English language is full of phrases that hold a meaning very different from what we hear. Understanding figurative language and idioms both in reading and speaking, are skills that required for socialization and comprehension. We will spend time playing games, creating stories, and interpreting language as we read between the lines.

Join this class to learn from talented authors while having fun writing!

Join us for a multi sensory phonics program that incorporates spelling as well as handwriting. Students will master sounds to achieve Phonological and phonemic awareness all while having fun with magnet tiles, gel pens, marker boards and more! We will read short stories to look for letter patterns and work with comprehension.

The tastes of the world are coming to Tutor's Link, with a little help from our local chefs. We have invited local members of our community to cook and teach us about the countries they adore. Spend time in our kitchen-chopping , rinsing, and tasting all to the sounds of the "country of the week", as you enjoy the cooked meal, discover the language, culture, and tourist attractions of the featured country.
